Riesling Freak

Rieslingfreak is the story of John Hughes, a man who is very passionate about his Rieslings. Rieslingfreak is about providing consumers with various Rieslings embracing both different regions and styles. Each region and style will be identified by an individual number, and only released on vintages where the style can be perfected.

Rieslingfreak No.3 is John’s Clare Valley Riesling, dry style. The wine colour is pale straw with green hues. On the nose there are ripe lemon and grapefruit notes, with hints of melon and floral aromas. On the palate, there are ripe lemon and limes, with some melon and tropical notes. The wine is fruit driven, tangy, with some pineapple notes. A good fresh crisp style, which drinks well now, or will reward with a number of years cellaring.
